Ending the Year 2018

Seriously? How many posts am I going to write saying that I can’t believe how fast 2018 has gone by. Today is January 8th!! Last year was fun, I mostly did a whole lot of getting educated & working for clients that I love. Here are some things that made my 2018 so amazing.

Looking Back at 2018

~ Started new classes for my Spring 2018 semester
~ Designed this Logo for Rebel by ADTV

~ Booked a new client for marketing services
~ Created new seasonal designs for Luminary Lynn

~ Bought my new camera, as much as I loved my D3000, the upgrade was much needed
~ Visited Canada for the first time!
~ Started taking more online classes on Social Media Marketing

~ Celebrated my 21st birthday + Pat’s 21st birthday!
~ Designed business cards + logo for Hair by Moran

~ Enrolled in a summer course, Modern Literature, and earned an A
~ Found out I was going to a Britney Spear’s concert!!

~ Did some well deserved reading + talked about it
~ Designed graphics for my younger sister’s YouTube channel ( @imsarahmar )

~ Designed a fun label design for Basement Brew
~ Bought my very fist MacBook Pro! Although it felt like a huge dent in my pocket, I’m so happy with this purchase

~ Started my Fall 2018 semester, enrolled in 6 classes
~ Celebrated 1 whole year with the craziest noodle I know (Ned, my cat)

~ Booked another client for marketing services
~ Proved to myself that I was able to handle 7 projects from 1 class, 5 other different class projects, and my own client’s work all while staying relatively sane

~ Bought an 18in stack of design reference books
~ Started taking online courses on Digital Marketing
~ Took an online course on 3D Design
~ Re-designed a local shop’s website

(these are not the final designs, was just practicing 3D!)

~ Started working on my re-brand for my site + blog
~ Continued my education in Digital Marketing + SEO training

~ Enrolled in 6 classes for Spring 2019, my last semester before I graduate!
~ Finished up my second to last semester with a 3.43 GPA (3.65 GPA in my major!)
~ More than doubled Luminary Lynn’s sales!!

2018 was all about education for me. Between school work and the things I wanted to learn on my own, I’m thriiiving off of every bit of information I can learn. I’m really excited for what I have in store for 2019.

What are you looking forward to this 2019?

Good for you that you can study the things that you like. It seems that I was always cash strapped back then. Now, I try my best with the kids.

I know what you mean. Thankfully I receive financial aid so I’m able to afford college! But honestly there are a lot of ways to educate yourself online too, that aren’t so over-priced. Try out Lynda.com! It sounds like your kids have the best mom!! <3
