Know Who Your Business Best Helps (aka Your Ideal Client Persona)

One of the first things we’ll ask you to do, whether you decide to work with us or not, is to identify your ideal client. When you know who your business best serves, you can talk EXACTLY to that person’s needs and desires. Knowing this information will help you create valuable content that connects and nurtures someone who resembles your ideal client.

We’ve been using this strategy for YEARS and booking clients for our own business AND clients. When you start with WHO, you then know the WHAT. We live by this strategy, so we’ve offered this Ideal Client Persona Workbook for the last few years, and it just got a facelift! Download a copy of the updated & FREE Client Persona Workbook here.

Create Content that Attracts Your Ideal Client

Now that you know exactly who you’re talking to and how your business improves their lives, you can create content that speaks to that. Here are three things to consider when creating content that attracts your ideal clients:

  • Speak to their PROBLEMS
  • Speak to the TRANSFORMATION
  • Speak to the OUTCOMES

That’s the secret. Those three things will help your ideal client realize you know exactly how they feel, how you can help them, and how you can take them from where they are now to where they want to be.

Questions to Ask Yourself:

Take a minute to brainstorm some of the problems your ideal client is facing. Where are they right now? Where are they struggling? What obstacles are in their way? Where do they want to be? How can you help them get there?

Through the art of storytelling in your social media captions, you can create content that catches your DREAM client’s attention and reels them in. Remember, this isn’t about “tricking” your audience. You have to be authentic with how you communicate and what you communicate. Don’t lie. Your audience can tell when you’re REALLY passionate about something.

Don’t forget to sell: Use strong calls to action in your content

You have to remember that you’re taking your audience through an experience. From when they see a photo online to reading the caption to clicking your link in bio… you’re setting the scene for your ideal clients. They’re unlikely to buy if you never ask them to buy.

Using strong calls to action in your content and captions will remind your audience of what you offer and help them fix the problem they’re facing.

Some examples would be:

  • Save this post for later
  • Follow along for more
  • Click the link in bio to…
  • Comment “KEYWORD” and I’ll send you… (we love using Manychat to automate this!)

Tips to create better calls to action

When adding calls to action, ensure you’re not overwhelming your audience with things to do. Ensure your call to action aligns with the goal of your post. If you want engagement, ask them to engage. If you want someone to buy something, ask them to buy it. You’ll never know what your audience can do if you don’t ask.

Using this strategy, you will start to see your ideal clients find you on social media, get warmed up by the content you wrote SPECIFICALLY for them, and take action by booking with you!
