3 Reasons Why You Need Book of the Month Club

Helloooo! Hope everyone’s summer is going as planned, I know mine hasn’t. LOL! All for the best though, no worries. There’s been a lot of decisions and arrangements to be made but I’m getting it done! Another reason why I’ve been a tad quiet on the blog end of things, so follow my Instagram & stay up to date! I post daily inspirational quotes & photography/designs I’ve created.

Aside from being a busy bee, here’s 3 reasons why you NEED to try out Book of the Month Club!

  1. BOTM has introduced me to some of my ALL TIME favorite books.

I’ve been a part of Book of the Month Club for I think a year now? My first book was Modern Lovers by Emma Straub and for those of you who’ve been following… You know I love this book. For those of you that didn’t know, now you do πŸ˜‰ There are cookies in this post & if you’d like to read about them you can here.

  2. They allow you to skip a month (without charge).

Let me start by saying that the book I chose from the JUNE Selections was A Million Junes. I’m 20 pages away from finishing it (a lot has been going on that IΒ cannotΒ wait to tell you more about) BUT it’s SO good and I’m sure 20 or so pages won’t change that. At least, I hope not. Wouldn’t that be interesting. Ha! BTW with Book of the Month Club, you can “skip” a month of receiving a book- which means you weren’t charged and won’t be charged for that month. SO if you don’t like a certain month’s selections, or need another month to read your previous book.. Take all the time you need!

  3. The monthly subscription keeps you up to date with the newest & best books.

The July selections made it a tough choice when choosing one (although you don’t HAVE to choose one). I wound up choosing American Fire by Monica Hesse. The judges made it seem mysterious and seriously a page turner, and I’m one to like reading crime stories. I’m sure I’m going to love it just as much as the previous months TBH. Last month, I had also purchased the Sisters Chase for just $9.99 extra because I knew I needed to add it to my queue of books to read.

I’ve also purchased a few educational books from my local Barnes & Noble. I’m trying to teach myself a few things before the semi-HUGE announcement. Honestly, I’m not even sure how I’m even to go about this announcement… I’m not sure how to say it or when to say it.. Or where to post about it first. LOL. You’ll know soon enough!

Agreed! I gave BOTM club subscriptions as Mother’s Day gifts this year too! It’s the gift that gives back because now I get to borrow all the books the mothers in my life choose.

  2. I legitimately have “read 25 pages” on my to-do list everyday, but I still get so busy I feel like I’d never use a BOTM club. Good to know they let you skip a month, maybe I can try it after all.

    • Right?? I’m so thankful that they let you skip a month.. And then the selections they choose for that month get added to the list of books for $9.99– which you can add on to your box! So you’re still saving & not missing out! πŸ™‚ Love that goal btw! I need to do that!

I love books, this seems like a good way to get myself focused on reading more like I used to!!

  4. Megan Miller says:

I have a lot of time to read at work, I know that sounds bad, so I might have to pick up this habit.
