I have been a part of many different blogs in these past few years, between fashion, creative, to lifestyle. Never did I think I would start a blog on my own- doing and talking about the things I love the most, yet here I am. With that said, I’m SUPER excited to say that I have been nominated for a Liebster Award by an amazing fellow creative & lifestyle blogger- Blythe Morgan. Be sure to check out her blog!
The Liebster Award is an internet based award that helps give exposure to blogs with less than 200 followers. After accepting your nomination, you’re required to do a few things. Some of those things include nominating other bloggers and answering questions to share more about yourself. You can read more about the award and it’s rules here.
Honestly speaking, the only thing I am most afraid of (besides spiders, of course) is losing those I care about. I couldn’t imagine what I’d do without my family and friends, and I would do anything to keep them in my life forever.
I first started blogging in 2013 when a good friend of mine had asked me to join her existing fashion blog. In 2014 I started my own, another fashion blog. Although I thoroughly enjoyed the community, shopping, and finding the perfect place to take photos of a rocking (if I do say so myself) outfit- I went on to start this creative & lifestyle blog.
I’m inspired by those who work hard towards their goals, no matter the barriers. I think young entrepreneurs are the most inspiring- those who go against “the norm” and do what they know they can- amaze me.
I actually do, and you can see his work here. I had the pleasure of having him as a professor of my Publication Design class & my Typography design class. Not only did I learn the material necessary to pass these courses, but I took away “real life” values and lessons. We did not read out of textbooks in his classes, we did not sit through hours of terrible lectures, and not once did I find his lessons boring. What makes him stand out, is his work (and the fact that he shared it- is it sad that none of my other professors have showed me their own design work?) and how real he was to us. He didn’t sugar coat things and I really respect that.
I learn something new every day, but one of the key things that I’ve learned is to branch out and try new things and meet new people. Everyone is always caught up about what they’re doing right or wrong, but it’s not about that. Put out good content, add beautiful images, and make friends with people who like the same things you do.
I’ll share my top 3.. because I really like a lot of them LOL! For TV Shows- I’ve been a big fan of Charmed (I believe it’s still on Netflix), Bones (Netflix did have it, Hulu does too), and One Tree Hill. My top 3 movies would have to be the Wizard of Oz, Heathers, and Fly Away Home.
I refuse to pick one LOL. I’ve made a few blog posts describing some books that I’ve read & those I’m interested in.
As I’m writing this I realize it’s a 11PM on a Friday- so I guess you can say I like watching baseball with my babe & making content for my blog! I am known to also edit my portfolio site, design things for Etsy, and listen to a bunch of stuff on my Spotify.
Good music, good people, and a lot of laughs.
To have a big family that I can love & support. After traveling the world and eating good food of course. I do think it’d be pretty stinkin cool if my kid questioned who’s art we have on the wall- and be amazed that the answer is “mine.”
Don’t laugh, because this is a very very serious item that I’ve always had at the top of my bucket list. I want to eat a taco in all 50 states. I’ve already eaten a taco in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Florida, Massachusetts, North & South Carolina, and California. Not too shabby.
Thank you for taking the time to read my answers ♥ Now onto my nominations…
1. When did you decide you wanted to be a blogger?
2. What’s your current blog about?
3. What keeps you inspired or motivated?
4. Do you listen to any podcasts? If so- which ones?
5. What’s your favorite magazine, if you don’t read magazines- what book?
6. Name 5 short-term goals you have, right now.
7. What’s your favorite color? Why?
8. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you find yourself?
9. What do you like to do in your free/spare time?
10. Do you have any pets? What are their names? If not- why not?
Good luck to everyone nominated, I loved sharing a few things about myself by answering Blythe’s questions. I can’t wait to see everyone else’s response & hope you all have/had as much fun as I did. Thank you Blythe again for nominating me ♥
Congratulations on winning the Liebster Award, Emily! I am glad that you enjoy blogging. I, too, have sort of a lifestyle blog, more linked with motivational though. I look forward to your other posts!
Thank you, Patricia! I’ll have to check out your blog! Thanks for leaving a comment 🙂
Congratulations! I’ve seen this award floating around and I’m always proud of my fellow bloggers when they receive it. May your blog continue to thrive and prosper.
Thank you kindly! I agree, it’s so much fun nominating other bloggers. Everyone deserves some recognition! ♥
Eating tacos in all fifty states is a creative goal rather than simply saying that you would like to visit all fifty states. Congratulations on your award!
Right?? Who doesn’t like tacos, and traveling the world while doing so?? Ha! Thanks for stopping by & thank you! ♥
These are great! Congrats on the award! I also have a fear of losing someone I love!
Thank you so much, Kelsie! It’s one of the worst fears you could have.
