#MoodMonday – Create & Renew Photography

It’s the beginning of week, do you have anything fun planned? Being that Sundays are my only day off, I use them to catch up on blog posts. Last week was a lot of catching up on school work, being the last week before “break.” Yesterday I was out all day attending one of the local St. Patrick’s Day parades and having a good time with family. Pat took me to see the Drop Kick Murphy’s later on in the day and they were SO good. Unfortunately, I only have portrait photography taken from yesterday and it’s not exactly something to make a “mood” Monday out of.

With that said, I will be adding photographs that I took awhile back because it is St. Patrick’s Day week and I feel as if the colors included in this photo really describe the week ahead. BTW there are affiliate links in this post~ read more about them here.

The Photos

DUH. Green!! How could I not choose green for this week?! I took this set of photos about 5 years ago. The one directly below is known as Ancient Eyes that was my first photograph to be shown in a gallery. As exciting as that was, they also informed me that my photo was chosen to be printed on the invitations, (one from every school) to represent my high school. Nothing but good vibes that come from these next few photos, especially because of the background story.

The Process

These photos were developed in Adobe Lightroom CC where I brightened the image a bit and added to the contrast and vibrance of the colors. Sharpening of the image as well as adding clarity is really what separates the greens from the blacks, each color being very rich. The variety of greens in each photo is really quite amazing.

The Mood Board

#b1e2aa, #5dd246, #007503, #ffd213, #fe7f00

Bright and happy with these new set of colors! I love how there’s various shades of green with a pop of yellow and orange in the eyes (hence Ancient Eyes). With the Irish flag’s colors being green, white and orange, that makes this weeks mood board perfect. Spring is coming around the corner and with that it’s time to start fresh and create more, hence create and renew. I’m so excited for what’s to come in these next few months.
